Connolly was very funny thirty years ago when he spoke like a Glaswegian. He is not funny any more, as he has ‘clicked on’ to the establishment cabal who do not like Glasgow accents, and so we have this psuedo Edinburgh/English accent. It doesn’t get laughs anymore, but it might get him a knighthood eh!
