Alan has just finished recording his debut album for Mercury Records, which was produced by Eliot James (Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs) and will be out in May 2010. Playing his first ever shows only a year or so ago, it’s impressive that Powell has already found himself opening for artists such as Laura Marling, Noah & The Whale, Florence + The Machine and Mr Hudson.
Adele heard Alan Pownell playing, hunted him down and begged him to open her show for her, talk about right place right time!
